Tesla recently officially activated its Full Self-Driving (FSD) system at its Giga Berlin factory, achieving full autonomous driving for vehicles within the factory. Previously, regulatory restrictions had limited the promotion of FSD in Europe.
According to a video released by the Tesla AI team, Model Y vehicles produced at Giga Berlin can now autonomously move from the production line to designated areas. This includes driving to the factory’s Supercharger stations for charging and then proceeding to the outbound area for delivery. Factory Manager André Thierig stated: "Every Tesla we built has the ability to drive autonomously, and we use this feature 100% for outbound operations, starting from the light tunnel until the car arrives at the outbound yard! Really impressive!"

Although the system works well inside the factory, Tesla still faces regulatory and legal challenges in promoting FSD in Europe. Its use on public roads in Europe remains limited to testing.
Previously, Tesla conducted FSD tests on public roads in countries like France and Germany. These tests are important for improving the technology but have not yet received regulatory approval.
The internal autonomous driving application at Giga Berlin marks an important step for Tesla in Europe. It may also drive further development in the global automotive and technology sectors. As more companies enter the autonomous driving field, the pace of technological innovation and regulatory change is likely to accelerate.
