Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he will add more details to the new Master Plan Part IV. He shared the update on X after people noted the plan seemed too general. Tesla investor Dave Lee commented that the current Master Plan Part IV looks more like an introduction than a full plan. Musk agreed and replied, “Fair enough. Will add more specifics.”
I’m thinking this is just the intro to Master Plan Part IV. The real master plan ought to have more specifics. Just my two cents. https://t.co/txFuZkQqT4

Tesla has been following Musk’s Master Plans for many years. The first plan in 2006 showed the path from the Roadster to the Model 3 and also introduced Tesla Energy. The second plan in 2016 talked about expanding Tesla’s car lineup, growing Tesla Energy, and creating a Robotaxi service. The third plan was much bigger. It explained how the world could move to a clean energy economy with electric cars, homes, and factories powered by renewable energy. It also gave a five-step plan for this transition.
Master Plan Part IV, released recently, focused on automation and artificial intelligence to create “sustainable abundance.” But unlike the earlier plans, it was very broad and not very specific. It was clear that Tesla’s robot Optimus would be important, but the plan did not explain exactly how Tesla would reach its goals. Elon Musk said that he would share more details later.
